Shift Summary for DAY shift, 06/Jun/99

On Shift: RR, BC
RC present for much of shift.

Hours of beam delivered at all intensities: 3.75
Hours of beam delivered at nominal intensity: 3.75
Hours of E832 data (special runs not included): 2.3
Hours of special runs (laser scans, muon runs...): 40 min laser scan,
an hour or so of target studies.

Accounting of lost time: TeV studies for most of shift

Runs ended this shift:
Run 13544 - 6.3M events - BEAM_832
Run 13546 - 185k events - laser scan

Tapes brought to FCC this shift: KQ1001, ... none
(including tapes for online split)

Overview of shift:
E.g., calibrate CsI, E832 datataking

Beam for first part of shift. TeV studies for later part of shift.
Beam taking was very smooth. Possibly physics quality data until
target studies. Once beam went away we did a long laser scan. No
problems. Rick C. spent some time doing target studies to find the
center of the target. We may not have been hitting the center, but
riding ~1 mm low.

In looking at monitor histograms, several problems/features were noticed.
These are listed at the bottom of the shift check list sheet.
