Accesses during shift:

16:00 Search and Secure

19:20 Ed and Patty swapped DPMT 2194; Second access to check magnet crash

20:00 Ed and Patty removed mylar from before VV', and retied helium bag #5

20:40 Hogan and Doug reduce helium flow rates and check Z positions

Description of Shift:

16:00 Search and Secure -- crew spent 20 minutes searching for non-existent
padlock on the blockhouse. Another 30 minutes lost because of crash button
in the control blocks the permit for beam.

17:30 Request magnet settings for muon runs: NM2S2 @ 500a, NM2S3 @ 100a

19:00 Removed locks from NM4AN PS, but epicure indicated a trip. Access to
reset 2nd crash button on W side of magnet.

19:40 RK remade L3-drivers with Laser spill check enabled

20:00 still no beam. Access to remove mylar sheet from behind VV'
Retied helium bag 5.

20:40 Access to reduce helium flow rates and to read Z postions of DC1/2
Some Beam

21:00 Visit from Main control room operators to check on Beam Stop Crash
Set up magnets for muon runs again. NM2S2 @ 500a, NM2S3 @ 100a

21:30 Beam ready; Plateau DC4 Runs 13402- 13410

RK confirms 10-12 Hz structure in beam. See log book XIX p 117.

22:30 Main control room calls to say they are currently giving us 3 batches.
We request 6 for muon and hadron runs.

22:40 Begin Long Muon Run 13411
